At the EGOS 2018, 4th EGOS Colloquium: Surprise in and around Organizations: Journeys to the Unexpected July 5–7, 2018 Tallinn, Estonia Dimitra Makri presented her paper “Civil society organization – Business partnerships as journeys to the unexpected: a temporal perspective on partnering for sustainability”. Liv Egholm presented at the Sub-theme: 62: (Re-)Producing Civil Society through Organizational Practices with paper: Practising civil society. Dimitra Makri participated in the PROS 2018 - 10th International Process Symposium - 20–23 June 2018, Halkidiki, Greece, with her paper called “Taking Stock and Looking ahead in Cross Sector Partnership Research: Time for a Temporal Process Perspective on Partnering for a Better World”
Lars Bo Kaspersen presented two papers at ISA (International Sociological Association’s world congress, July 2018, Toronto: “Towards a Neo-Eliasian Framework for Processual-Relational Sociology: The Case of Chinese Party-state formation, 1920-1953” written by Andreas Møller Mulvad & Lars Bo Kaspersen and the paper “From the distant Crusades to 'local' 'Islamic terrorism' – from the European civilizing processes to the contemporary Western de-civilizing process?” by Lars Bo Kaspersen & Norman Gabriel.
Maj Grasten presented her paper “Rule of Law or Rule by Lawyers? Hierarchies in Global Law and Politics” at Institute for Global Law and Policy, Harvard Law School (June 2-3, Cambridge MA, US) and participated in the Law and Society Association (LSA) Annual Meeting (June 7-10, Toronto, Canada) where she presented her paper: “Multi-sited Ethnography and (in)Visibilities of International Law”
Furthermore, she presented her paper “The Coloniality of Global Constitutionalism” at the FLACSO-ISA Joint International Conference (July 25-27, Quito, Ecuador) and did a invited talk at the Faculty of Law, Universidad de los Andes (August 9, Bogotá, Colombia) on “The Coloniality of Global Constitutionalism”
Lars Bo Kaspersen participated at the Nordic Sociological Association biannual congress, Ålborg, August 8-10 2018, where he presented his two papers: “Associationalism strikes back!” and ”The Future Welfare State and the Future Organization of Sport (Idræt)?” (See abstracts here).
Furthermore, Lars Bo Kaspersen and Norman Gabriel presented the paper “From the distant Crusades to 'local' 'Islamic terrorism' – from the European civilizing processes to the contemporary Western de-civilizing process?”.
