CISTAS invites you to a workshop with Elisabeth Clemens
The workshop on process-relational sociology and comparative research will be held at CBS PH18B 4.139 from 10 to 12. Everyone is welcome.
The purpose is to discuss the relevance and possibility of comparative research within a process-relational perspective, asking the questions of;
What are the problems or advantages of comparative research when the researcher is situated in process-relational sociology?
How can we compare e.g. ‘civil society’-activities across time and geographical context, if the context is always relational and processual constituted?
Can we overcome these conundrums through the use ‘transhistorical’ concepts?
The workshop will be a general and explorative roundtable discussion with few shorter presentation and open discussion.
